Program Overview

The Phlebotomy program equips you with the skills to collect blood samples for diagnostic testing, transfusions, or research. You’ll learn venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques, infection control practices, and proper specimen handling procedures.

Hands-on training in clinical settings ensures you can perform with precision and professionalism. Graduates are prepared for national certification and employment in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and blood donation centers.

Program Structure and Courses

This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of 2 occupational completion points. This program is comprised of courses which have been assigned course numbers in the SCNS (Statewide Course Numbering System) in accordance with Section 1007.24 (1), F.S. Career and Technical credit shall be awarded to the student on a transcript in accordance with Section 1001.44(3) (b), F.S.
