Program Overview

This program trains you to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and processing prescriptions. You’ll learn pharmaceutical calculations, medication classifications, and state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Students gain practical experience in both community and hospital pharmacy settings, ensuring a well-rounded education. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared for national certification exams, which can increase your job opportunities and earning potential.

Program Structure and Courses

This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of 2 occupational completion points. This program is comprised of courses which have been assigned course numbers in the SCNS (Statewide Course Numbering System) in accordance with Section 1007.24 (1), F.S. Career and Technical credit shall be awarded to the student on a transcript in accordance with Section 1001.44(3) (b), F.S.
