Program Overview

The Nursing Assistant program provides the essential skills needed to care for patients in long-term care facilities, hospitals, and home health environments. You’ll learn how to assist patients with daily activities, measure vital signs, and support their overall comfort and safety.

Training includes supervised clinical experiences that put you in direct contact with patients, giving you real-world exposure to healthcare environments. Graduates are prepared to take the Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam and begin a career in a field with strong employment growth.

Program Structure and Courses

This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of 1 occupational completion points. This program is comprised of courses which have been assigned course numbers in the SCNS (Statewide Course Numbering System) in accordance with Section 1007.24 (1), F.S. Career and Technical credit shall be awarded to the student on a transcript in accordance with Section 1001.44(3) (b), F.S.
