Program Overview

The Marine Service Technologies program teaches you to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boat engines, marine electrical systems, rigging, and fiberglass structures. You’ll work on outboard, inboard, and personal watercraft engines, learning skills that apply to recreational and commercial vessels.

Training takes place in a marine workshop environment, giving you real-world experience with diagnostic equipment and tools. This program prepares you for industry certifications and positions in marinas, dealerships, and manufacturing companies.

Program Structure and Courses

This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of six occupational completion points. This program is comprised of courses which have been assigned course numbers in the SCNS (Statewide Course Numbering System) in accordance with Section 1007.24 (1), F.S. Career and Technical credit shall be awarded to the student on a transcript in accordance with Section 1001.44 (3) (b), F.S.
