Program Overview

In the HVAC/R program, you’ll learn to install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems for residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Coursework covers electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, ductwork, diagnostics, and energy efficiency. Safety practices and EPA 608 certification preparation are integrated into the curriculum.

Through hands-on lab training, you’ll gain experience working with real HVAC/R equipment, preparing you for immediate employment in a high-demand trade. Graduates can enter the workforce as skilled technicians or continue into advanced certifications for greater career growth.

Program Structure and Courses

This program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of five occupational completion points.

This program is comprised of courses which have been assigned course numbers in the SCNS (Statewide Course Numbering System) in accordance with Section 1007.24 (1), F.S. Career and Technical credit shall be awarded to the student on a transcript in accordance with Section 1001.44(3)(b), F.S.
